What was life like five years ago?  Do you remember?  Our world is different.  Navigating cultural events and their impact on our local communities have required a lot of extra energy. Today kids find themselves dealing with many hard issues and looking for answers- this is where a Young Life leader can make such a difference.  Young Life leaders now have an even greater opportunity to reach kids since many of the COVID restrictions have been lifted.  Now, more than ever, young people need to hear and experience love and peace, and they need committed adults who will live life alongside them.  The Time is now!

The Financial Need

Currently, in Sitka Young Life we are back with kids and meeting weekly with both high school and middle school friends.  With our high schoolers, we are meeting every Wednesday night for club and we have three different groups meeting for breakfast campaigners or Bible study.  Our middle schoolers meet every Tuesday night. We are also continuing to develop our church partnerships by facilitating monthly training on connecting with Generation Z.  We are networking to support young adults in their faith and we are rebuilding our ministry teams. 

This November we are beginning our fall fundraiser.  Our goal is to raise $65K to help us meet our fiscal 2022-23 budget. These funds will help cover health care expenses and help pay for a part-time administrative assistant and allow us to continue to grow in needed areas.  A generous friend of Sitka Young Life is offering a matching gift of up to $20,000 to help us reach our goal.  Please consider helping us with the remaining $45K.  Click the above links to see how Sitka Young Life is making a difference.
